LSC Recreational Soccer is the foundation of our program. Recreational Soccer is all about fun, everybody plays, everybody has fun! Teams practice once or twice a week in the early evening (scheduled by their coaches) and play games most Saturdays and the occasional Sunday.

Rec soccer is best suited for players who want to enjoy and learn the game in an environment more suitable to their skill level and gives the players more confidence to continue developing their soccer skills. Rec players through hard work and determination can easily be developed into comp players and beyond. Every child develops at different stages. There are no tryouts for Rec Teams in the spring or the fall seasons.

U8 Boys and Girls Teams

•Games of 4v4, focus on more advanced ball control and basic team play with a referee
•The players use a size 3 ball
•One or two weeknight practices (nights vary based on coach) & one weekend game (generally on Saturdays)
•Teams are generally capped at eight-ten players to maximize the coach to player ratio

Above all, please remember that our Recreational Soccer Program is first and foremost about our children having fun. The goal is for our youth to learn to play soccer, get along with and play as a team, and be competitive and show good sportsmanship while having fun. We look forward to another great season!
